Portola Valley recognizes that we profit from the commodification of land seized from indigenous peoples and now bear the ecological consequences. We seek to understand the impact of these legacies on all beings and to find ways to make repair. Call to Order & Roll Call: The meeting was called to order at 9:01 am. Members present: J Coleman, S Gold, E Ferrari, G. Hanning, B Monks, J Lokey, B. Eckstein, P. Murray Member absent: F Leach Also present: D Smith (Town Manager), M Hufty (Town Council Member), T Coleman (Conservation Committee liaison). 2. Oral Communications: The Town Website will be used to report Trail Maintenance. 3. Old Business: a. Approval of Minutes for April 15, and May 20, 2026: Approved as submitted. b. Trail Maintenance Update: Submitted with agenda email. c. Horse Fair Update: B Eckstein reported that attendees were very happy with the event. They also requested that in the future we inform them of where and how they can have riding opportunities in Town. Next year’s budget may drop from $!0,000 to $7,500 d. Portola Terrace Update: Nothing new to report. e. Site Development Permits: None f. Easements: Nothing to report. g. Hawthorns Project: Town has secured counsel for further issues. Safety issues are our committee’s primary concern. G Hanning wrote our recommendation and support letter. The first point will be removed and the second point suggests that Town acquisition may solve safety issues and should be priced at minimal cost to the Town. h. T & P Ordinances, Resolutions and Guidelines Study: Topic discussion deferred until next meeting. 4. New Business: None 5. Other Business: None 6. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 AM.
